Chevy Volt: The Future is Electrifying!
Chevy Volt concept is about to go production, electrifying the future and turning the page to a new chapter of fuel efficiency. The Chevy Volt is a revolution in automobiles! The extended-range Volt redefines the automotive world, with an engine and propulsion system that is so revolutionary and advanced it's unlike any vehicle that's ever been introduced before. What's more astonishing is the Chevy Volt Concept is no longer a concept... it's a reality!
Zero Emissions, Zero Gasoline!
Beyond hybrid, the Volt is designed to function without a single drop of gasoline for up to 40 miles. For those who drive less than 40 miles per day, they can do so without a single drop of gas while releasing zero emissions into the atmosphere. When in need of a fresh charge, the Volt can be plugged into a common household outlet. The Volt is a giant leap into the concept of one day being able to drive completely gas-free.
Under the hood, the Volt's engine is a technological marvel. The propulsion system combines a lithium ion battery with range-extended power sources that include gasoline and ethanol, allowing you to drive well beyond the 40 mile range while regenerating the battery charge at the same time. Performance is expected to be 150 horsepower while outputting an impressive 273 foot-pounds of torque and reaching a top speed of up to 100 miles per hour.
